To make a donation to either the Guatemala Medical Mission Fund or the Medical Mission Scholarship Fund make checks payable to Partners In Medical Missions and on the subject line of the check, designate either Guatemala Medical Mission or Medical Mission Scholarship Fund. All donations are tax deductible through Partners In Medical Missions. Tax exempt information is available on request. All donations to the Medical Mission Fund are used for medical care of indigent patients of Guatemala. All participants in the Guatemala Medical Mission are volunteers. A donation to the Medical Mission Fund would provide money to purchase medical equipment, surgical supplies and medication, to transport equipment and supplies or to pay for Guatemala Hospital charges. A separate Guatemala Scholarship Fund has been developed to offset costs for a limited number of applicants due to financial hardship. All applicants are evaluated for financial need and scholarships are awarded depending on availability of funds. For example, a donation to the Guatemala Scholarship fund would allow a surgical tech, medical or physical therapy student, or interpreter to offset some of the costs of their trip. All other participants pay their own way for costs of flight, food and lodging. This program is strictly a work of heart.
